What is the Devon Kart Club

The DKC is more than just a club; it's a vibrant community of like-minded racers who battle it out every first Tuesday of the month in our year-long championship. We keep things exciting with unique races, including reverse track layouts, strategic pit-stops, and even exhilarating joker (cut-through) laps that shake up the circuit! 🏁

When & Where

The Club runs on the first Tuesday of every month, 19:00–22:30 at Raceworld Indoor Karting.

Requirements

To keep racing fast, fair and safe, all drivers must meet these standards.

Pricing

Simple, transparent pricing — Helmet, suit & gloves provided; trainers recommended. If you don't have your own helmet, you will need to purchase a balaclava (£3.50 or £5)

Yearly Joining Fee

Pay once per year to be part of the Club.

Covers your race night entry and track time.

FAQs

Is this an adult league?

Devon Kart Club at Raceworld is a structured monthly championship for drivers who meet the stated junior requirements (age 11–16, 145 cm+, sub-28.00s). Instructors will confirm suitability.

Do I need my own kit?

No. We provide you with a helmet. Wear comfy clothing and flat soled trainers; long hair must be tied back.If you dont have your own helmet you must purchase a balaclava (£3.5/£5)

Do parents/guardians need to stay?

Yes, a responsible adult must remain on site for the duration of the event.

Where can I see dates?

Dates run on the first Tuesday monthly (18:30–22:00). See the Circuit Diary or use the Add to Calendar button above for the next date.

  • 5-min qualifier (grouping only)
  • 2 × 20-lap races
  • 30-lap reverse final + cut-through

5-minute qualifier for grouping only (no points). Then 2×20 laps: Race 1 grid is set randomly via the wheel of doom (no points). Race 2 is reverse grid (full points). These races qualify you for a 30-lap reverse track final with 1 cut-through (full points).

Pit Stop Pandemonium

  • 10-min qualifier
  • 60-lap race
  • Random pit triggers + penalties

10-minute qualifier (full points) and a 60-lap race (full points). During the race, the marshal shows shuffled kart boards — that racer must pit immediately (5 seconds). Failing to do so results in a points penalty. Once all karts are shown, boards are shuffled and it starts again… and again… until the race ends.

10-minute qualifying then two identical 35-lap races. Each race starts in reverse order of the league table. Front runners: 0 pit stops, mid pack: 1 pit stop, back of the field: 2 pit stops. Each stop is a prompt stop-go with no timed hold (pit whenever). Full points for all rounds.

10-minute qualifying to groups only (full points). Each team leader from A group draws a B and C group racer out of a hat to form teams. Quiz acts as qualification, then a 90-minute team endurance race (half points). Weights are averaged across each team’s members.
